WAAC is a non-profit organisation and works to optimise the health and wellbeing of all, through reducing the impact of stigma and discrimination, improving access to health services and information and reducing transmission of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs). WAAC also serves the health and broader social needs of the LGBTIQA+ community through projects such as Freedom, which offers safe drop-in spaces, counselling and community development projects to benefit LGBTIQA+ young people aged 12-25 years.

All costs associated with running STYLEAID are recouped through corporate sponsorship and ticket sales, and historically, STYLEAID has raised funds that have been used to extend the reach and impact of WAAC’s working in raising HIV and LGBTIQA+ awareness, and providing social support such as counselling and peer services to people living with HIV and LGBTIQA+ young people.
